With a recycled ripstop liner, RenewaLoft™ insulation, and a PFAS-free DWR finish, it’s built to deliver Rumpl’s signature performance in the environments where most blankets fail. From campfires and cabins to wood stoves and fire pits, this blanket is designed for warmth, durability, and peace of mind.

Common Questions

What makes EmBarrier™ flame-resistant, and how does that technology work?
EmBarrier™ is made from a unique blend of 60% modacrylic (a naturally flame-resistant fiber) and 40% cotton. The flame resistance is built into the fibers themselves—no chemical treatments or coatings required. That means the protection won’t wash out over time. Note: EmBarrier™ is flame-resistant, not flame-proof. It’s designed to protect against stray sparks and embers, not direct flames.
What kind of safety testing did EmBarrier™ go through?
The EmBarrier™ fabric passed multiple safety and performance tests, including:

- Flammability Test (ISO 15025:2016)
– Passed a surface ignition test using a propane flame applied for 10 seconds. - CA Prop 65 Lead Testing – Certified safe for kids' products.
- Chemical Trace Testing (EPA 8270D + others)
– No harmful chemicals detected.
What does “ember-resistant” or "spark-resistant" mean?
Spark and ember-resistant materials should self-extinguish once the source of ignition is removed, but keep in mind that given a certain amount of time and heat level, anything will burn eventually. Flame-resistant or fire-resistant materials are designed to prevent the spread of fire and withstand heat.
Is the stuff sack ember-resistant too?
Mostly! The body of the roll-top stuff sack is made with EmBarrier™ fabric. The bottom panel is not ember-resistant, so just keep that part away from open flames.
How warm is this blanket?
While our Puffy blankets aren't temperature rated, they should keep you plenty warm in 45° weather and above. Need something warmer? Cuddle up with a 2-Person size or layer two blankets.
Is this blanket waterproof?
All Rumpl Puffy blankets are treated with a PFAs-free 90/10 DWR, making it highly water and stain-resistant; however, they are not completely waterproof.
How do I wash my Rumpl?
All Rumpl Puffy Blankets are machine washable. We recommend using a front-loading washing machine on cold with a gentle detergent designed for technical or outdoor gear to help preserve the DWR finish. Hang to dry or tumble dry on low.

Free shipping is offered for orders $49+ and being delivered to the lower 48 states of the US. Shipping charges will apply to orders being sent to AK, HI, and all international destinations outside the US. Please note that certain promotional items may be excluded from this offer.
